Mani Rimdu Festival:
The Mani Rimdu Festival is held annually at Tengboche Monastery, typically from 12th to 15th November, according to the Tibetan lunar calendar. The exact dates are announced by the head Lama of the monastery. This vibrant festival, marked by sacred dances, rituals, and prayers, provides a rare opportunity to witness Sherpa culture and Buddhist traditions up close.

PROGRAM ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu / Meet & Greet
Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport. Our Staff member meets you and transfers you to the hotel.
Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and preparation for trekking
Morning wake-up and breakfast in hotel.
Our guide will meet you in your hotel and brief you about the upcoming trekking. He will guide you through all the formalities and necessary paper-works required for the trekking.
After that, we then do a Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley of famous UNESCO world heritage sites like Boudhanath, one of the largest Stupas in the world; Swayambhunath, a famous monkey temple and Pashupatinath, a sacred Hindu temple complex. Apart from Sightseeing, we also get TIMS card and permits for our trekking on this day. In the evening, we do initial preparation for the trekking.
Overnight at Hotel.
Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2840 m) & trek to Phakding (2610 m): Walking distance: 7.5 km: 3 hours
After an early breakfast, we take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,840 m), which takes approximately 35 minutes. The Lukla flight is considered one of the most dramatic short-distance flights in the world. The airport sits on a hillside with a single runway that drops steeply into the valley below, surrounded by towering mountains—a thrilling experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, the crisp Himalayan air and dramatic mountain landscape mark the beginning of our adventure.
From Lukla, we begin our trek along the trail toward Cheplung Village, enjoying spectacular views of the sacred Mount Khumbila. The trail then gradually descends to Phakding, a charming village in the Dudh Koshi River valley. Along the way, the scenery features emerald-like hills and the distant sight of Kusum Kanguru Mountain. Phakding offers cozy guesthouses and lodges, making it an ideal first stop.

Note: Weather in Lukla can be unpredictable, and flights may be delayed or canceled. If this occurs, you will need to return to your hotel in Kathmandu. Accommodation and transportation for this night are not included. In case of continued delays, there is an option to take a helicopter flight to Lukla at an additional cost of approximately USD 500, quoted by the airline on the day of travel. While rare, it is important to be aware of this possibility.
