Manaslu Circuit

Manaslu Circuit provides perfect views of mountains, varieties of flora and fauna, combined with rich cultural heritages of various ethnic groups living in the area. Manaslu circuit trekking is one of the most demanded trekking destinations in Nepal. This trekking area was opened for foreigners since 1991. Manaslu circuit trek begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to the town of Arughat Bazaar and the trek ends in Besi Sahar which is also the starting point for the Annapurna circuit.

Experts consider the Manaslu Circuit trek to be one of the best treks in Nepal. Despite the recent surge in popularity, the Manaslu circuit trek remains remote and off the beaten track compared to the more famous tea house treks in Nepal. The hike takes you around Mt. Manaslu, the eighth highest mountain in the world at 8,163 meters.

Highlights:

☛ Manaslu Circuit trail is far less crowded than its better-known counterparts Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit. Manaslu Circuit is becoming more and more popular, but there are still around ten times fewer hikers on the Manaslu Circuit trail.

☛ The Manaslu Circuit trek is wild and remote, but there are pleanty teahouses so hikers don’t have to bring tents and groceries, which makes it more accessible and affordable than similar hikes.

☛ The starting point is accessible by road, so no domestic flights are required. The first part of the path follows the Budhi Gandaki, a deep, long river gorge with many suspension bridge crossings.

☛ The landscape offers everything that Nepal has to offer: hike from the subtropical jungle at lower altitudes through the foothills of the Himalayas to the high, cold and challenging crossing of Larkya La over 5,100 meters.
