Pikey Dudhkunda

Pikey Dudhkunda trek is probably the best short trek near Kathmandu for the best mountain views including Mount Everest. Pikey peak is also compared with another famous view point, Poon Hill, in Annapurna region. Pikey peak trek is less crowded and provides excellent mountain views. Mountains like Mount Everest, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Gauri Shanker, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Khatang, Mt. Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Mera Peak are visible from the hill. PROGRAM ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu / Meet & Greet

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you are transferred to your hotel where you can rest and prepare for the journey ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the city briefly or relax, acclimating to the altitude and Nepalese environment. Overnight stay is at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Drive to Dhap (2,932m)

After an early breakfast, you embark on an approximately eight-hour scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhap. The journey takes you through lush landscapes, small towns, and rolling hills of eastern Nepal, giving you a glimpse of rural life along the way. On arrival in Dhap, you settle into a teahouse or lodge for overnight stay.

Day 3: Trek to Jhapre (2,820m)

From Dhap, the trek begins with a gradual ascent to Jhapre, a picturesque Sherpa village known for its traditional monasteries and friendly locals. Along the way, you pass through forests and terraced fields while enjoying views of distant peaks. Overnight stay is at a teahouse in Jhapre.
