The Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s most iconic and diverse trekking adventures, offering an incredible journey through the heart of the Himalayas. This classic trail takes us around the magnificent Annapurna Massif, where we experience a remarkable change in landscapes, cultures, and natural beauty. From the green hills and rushing rivers of the lower Annapurna region to the dry alpine landscapes of Mustang, every section of the trek offers a unique and unforgettable experience.
Our journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Jagat before gradually making our way through traditional mountain villages including Dharapani, Chame, Pisang, and Manang. As we gain elevation, the scenery transforms from lush forests and terraced fields into dramatic Himalayan landscapes surrounded by towering peaks such as Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Gangapurna, and Manaslu. Along the trail, we experience the warm hospitality of local communities, explore traditional villages, and witness the unique blend of Gurung, Magar, and Tibetan-influenced cultures.
A major highlight of the Annapurna Circuit Trek is the challenging ascent to Thorong La Pass (5,416m), one of the highest trekking passes in the world. After a carefully planned acclimatisation day in Manang (3,540m), we continue towards Yak Kharka and Thorong Phedi, preparing for the crossing of this spectacular mountain pass. Reaching the top of Thorong La rewards us with breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks before we descend towards the sacred Muktinath Temple and continue through the dramatic landscapes of the Mustang region.
The trek concludes with a scenic flight from Jomsom to Pokhara, offering a final opportunity to admire the incredible mountain scenery from above. With a perfect combination of natural beauty, cultural discovery, and high-altitude adventure, the Annapurna Circuit Trek remains one of Nepal’s most rewarding trekking experiences. This journey is ideal for those seeking an authentic Himalayan adventure filled with diverse landscapes, traditional villages, and the unforgettable challenge of crossing Thorong La Pass.
