The hike from Jiri to Everest base camp or the hike to Everest base camp via Jiri has given Sagarmatha (Everest) at 8,848 m its own charm since the beginning of the climbing expedition. The way to the base camp of the mountain. Everest via Jiri has become one of the most popular trekking routes in Nepal, but few people return unaffected by the experience of being among the highest peaks in the world. This fascinating hike offers a wonderful opportunity to climb the Kalapathar summit (5,550 m) with a view of the Everest base camp, a magnificent view of the highest mountains including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu etc., and with the indigenous people to get in touch. After a seven-hour scenic drive to Jiri, we follow the spectacular route across the Solukhumbu area through the heart of fine Sherpa villages, with each village having something new to offer. On the way to Lukla we have the opportunity to explore the beautiful forest, the rural areas and several high-lying monasteries. After passing Lukla, we continue to Namche, the main trading village of the Khumbu area, and drive via the Thyangboche monastery to Pheriche and Lobuche. The Everest Classic Trek has a number of attractions to offer, including the spectacular landscape, the unique Sherpa culture from Solukhumbu, the region where Mt. Everest and the associated smaller peaks are located.
